Moving for your cattle in Burkina Faso
The nomadic family Dicko of Burkina Faso has no fixed abode. As shepherds they migrate in areas where there is sufficient water and pasture ground for their cattle. "We are absolutely not jealous of people with permanent residence," says the eldest son. Despite having to live in the constant smell of cow dung, they never complain.
