Who do you hope will be the next president of the United States?
Because Saddam Hussein is already gone, I think Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Fidel Castro and one Euro coin would be a perfect combination. We need a coin to draw and vote, just in case Ahmadinejad and Castro cannot agree on some point.
What is your image of Holland?
Holland is the country of windmills, tulips, museums, dams, and canals. I think the dutch love to standardize everything into proper procedure and are well organized. If I want to learn politics and law, I’ll go to Holland. Holland also stands for possibilities to try everything, to push the limit and find out where the edges and limits of freedom lie. And I almost forgot, my favourite artist was born in Holland: Rembrandt.
What is your favourite television program? And why?
The Grand Prix of MotoGP. Why? Because one of my childhood dreams is: I want to be a motor racer!
If you would be able to export a characteristic of your country, what would it be?
The flexibility of Javanese people, the adventurousness of Bugisnese people, the “to the point attitude” of Bataknese people, the determination and persistence of Acehnese people, the hard working of Maduranese people, and the wisdom of local people in Borneo, Papua, Celebes, Sumatra, and the other islands.
If you would be able to rule out a characteristic of your people, what would it be?
The lacking work mentality and the low need of achievement. (It’s very hard for me to call it laziness.)
What will you be doing ten years from now?
Writing a book, producing a great documentary film, ruling the local community TV, and encourage young people to make a contribution to human kind.
