Undercover Saint - 05/22/2012

From the 5th of July Metropolis is back with brand new episodes.
In this new season our correspondents look for special stories concerning worldwide themes, such as mobile phones, homosexuality, but also Syndrom of Down.

In some parts of Pakistan people with Down syndrome are almost considered as Saint. Especially the poorer people treat you very well, because then they think their wishes to God will come true. But in Cambodja a worse destiny is waiting you, the 13-years-old Savary with Down syndrome is locked in a metal cage all day.

We also have an episode about homosexuality. Men are not allowed to marry everywhere. The Netherlands is one out of ten countries where gay marriage is legal, exclusive from the six states of the United States where it is allowed.

In the Ayoreo-tribe in Bolivia homosexuality is still out of question and the life of two lesbians is made impossible by the people in their village. Also in Namibia love between same sexes is considered as a sin, but Wendelinus is proud to be gay and walks with his scarf 'Mr Gay Namibia' all day.

Other theme for coming season are about the search for true love and the different meanings of breasts worldwide. So keep your eyes on our website and facebook from now on!
